What is synthetic rubber

Synthetic rubber is a highly elastic polymer synthesized from different raw materials (monomers). It is one of the three major synthetic materials. Its output is only lower than synthetic resin and synthetic fibers.

A few kinds of synthetic rubber have similar properties to natural rubber, most of them are different from natural rubber, but both of them are high elastic polymer materials. Generally, they need to be vulcanized and processed before they have practicability and use value.

As a necessary material for manufacturing aircraft, warships, automobiles, tractors, harvesters, irrigation and drainage machinery, medical devices and so on, the demand for rubber is increasing. Synthetic rubber is widely used in agriculture, national defense, transportation and daily life because of its high elasticity, insulation, air tightness, oil resistance, high temperature or low temperature.
